In compliance with the provisions of Municipal Sewer Ordinances, the Department of Planning, Housing and Environment, jointly with the Department of Public Safety, Civil Protection and Fire Fighting, will undertake an inspection campaign, with which City Council wants to improve the image of the municipality and to avoid the frequent accumulation of waste in the sun, debris, weeds and the remains of vegetation, which often cause problems of unsafe and pose a significant risk to potential fires, especially in the summer months .
The procedure consists of the location of the site without fencing and / or uncleaned, in respect of which the Town Planning Technical Services issued a report, and sent the owner an order to proceed with the cleaning and fencing the site within not exceeding 15 days.
Beyond this period the local police inspect the site, beginning, if there is failure by the owner, the procedure for enforcement, and if the opening of disciplinary proceedings.
The location of these sites is mainly done through the program launched by the Department of Planning, Housing and Environment, which provides periodic inspections throughout the municipality by the Planning Inspection Services and the Local Police, as well as neighborhood complaints.
