Cayetano Salas, spokesman for Izquierda Unida + Greens in the city of Sewell filed a motion for the creation of a municipal plan of training, offering alternatives to the current crisis we are facing.
Everybody knows the current unemployment situation our state is suffering, just as we have seen the highest rate of unemployment is given in the construction sector.
Izquierda Unida has repeatedly warned, during that period of supposed economic boom of what was coming.
We have been victims of a speculative system, condoned and encouraged by the economic policies carried out in recent years.
When the bubble has burst we have seen that neither the central nor the regional administration have been able to provide solutions, therefore we believe that since local government we must do our bit.
From Izquierda Unida + Greens believe that the training courses since the City Council offered to the public are incomplete and not entirely effective, since most of them are related to construction or ancillary industries to this.
We believe that now we have to offer economic alternatives to brick and we are where we are because of the absence of an alternative to this.
It is time therefore to offer courses related to tourism, the green industry, food industry, ... and above all providing training to unemployed to start a new production model, ie formed in the creation of worker cooperatives.
