Yesterday, Saturday 21 November, the patron saint of Sewell, Our Lady of Health was celebrating his name day and as is traditional celebrated a Mass in St. Peter the Apostle Parish Sewer, to celebrate this day.
As in previous years, the Vicar of Suburban Pastoral Zone I and pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption, Luis Martínez Marble, along with the pastors of St. Peter the Apostle, Thomas Cascales, priests from other parishes and emeriti who officiate in our town, concelebrated the religious act, being sung by the choir Sewer Kantara, going to the same Sewer Mayor Lazaro Mellado, and various members of the Municipal Corporation, accompanied the directors of the Brotherhood of Our Lady Health , chaired by Maria Dolores Pérez Hernández.
Despite the festivity of the month of May are also made in his honor, this religious celebration takes place on the occasion of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary in the temple, the real name of the patron saint of the town of Sewell, to which called the "Health" to heal many people in town because of serious epidemics and fevers in the eighteenth century.
