2009 European Elections
2009 European elections to the European Parliament, has resulted in Sewell with a historic victory of the Popular Party, which has seen the confidence placed in him by the electorate.
The Popular Party candidate, received 65.26% of the votes cast by the toshers.
That is, 8,890 votes compared to 3,705
collected by the PSOE, which was 27.2%, 360 votes 2.64% Upyd with 336 votes and the United Left to 2.47%.
The turnout in this election day was finally of 48.01%, with 13,692 voters, a survey of 28,518 voters.
In connection with the 2008 General elections, last held in our town the Popular Party, received 64.74% of the votes cast by the toshers, with 14,746 votes compared to 6,733 of the PSOE, who received 29.56% and the 614 IU, which accounted for 2.70%.
The data from the European Parliament elections held on June 13, 2004, the Popular Party also took up the victory with 60.95% and 8002 votes, 4572 votes PSOE and Izquierda Unida 34.82% and 315 votes with 2.40%, involved 13,159 voters in a survey of 27,073 voters, with a 48.61% stake.
