The director of the Institute for Women, Teresa Moreno, condemned the death yesterday of a woman in Sewell which has become the fourth fatality in domestic violence so far this year in the Region of Murcia.
Moreno expressed "its strongest condemnation against any act of gender violence is a manifestation of cowardice committed against a human being, in this case against women."
"From the Women's Institute and from the regional government want to emphasize our commitment to the fight against gender violence and our firm goal to continue working on the eradication of these heinous acts and the implementation of social measures health, economic and cultural aimed at helping women to their security, protection and reintegration into society, "he said Teresa Moreno.
Since last January 1, 1953 women have become victims of gender violence in our country, four in the Region of Murcia.
