The new Day Care Centre (CED) 'Pedro Hernández Caballero', of Sewell, opened today by the Minister for Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, accompanied by Mayor Lazaro Mellado, has 30 seats arranged, of which 15 are for older people and as many for Alzheimer's disease.
This new CED has a surface area of 721 square meters, which have built multi-purpose rooms and physiotherapy and nursing consultations, attended by specialized professionals (doctor, psychologist, physiotherapist, social worker).
Of the 703,570 euros that has cost the center, the Community has provided 404,119 euros, while for the provision of services, the Regional Authority's contribution amounting to 371,651 euros, through a four-year agreement (2008-2011) signed with the City Hall.
Currently, the number of service jobs day stays in the Region of 1,416, of which 830 are concerted and 586 public and private.
The cost in 2008 and subsidized their own amounting to 3,141,654 euros.
