Infrastructure, educational opportunities and specific action plans for neighborhoods and groups with special difficulties have been priority issues Sewer Mayor Joaquin Buendia, has dealt with the Minister of Education and Universities, Maria Isabel Sanchez-Mora.

At the headquarters of the Ministry of Education they have held a working meeting where the Mayor of Sewell has moved the main concerns and educational projects in the city, including the improvement of infrastructure of the centers of the town.

In this regard Buendia coincided with the Minister in the beginning of the necessary investment for the IES Sanje.

An investment of two million euros to equip the center of a new classrooms, a sports hall and an increase in facilities for workshops.

In the same chapter of infrastructures, Joaquin Buendia went to the Minister's proposal to plan, in a sequence, the necessary actions to adapt to different public facilities such as sports facilities, electrical, HVAC, facilities etc.

In the area of ​​provision the Minister of Education stated its commitment to continue expanding educational and training choices and adapt to the needs of students and the environment.

In that sense, Buendia said the necessary incorporation of our town to offer Professional training programs that develop institutions that collaborate with groups with special needs, within that ongoing commitment that must be assumed Vocational Training.

To complement this offering, the Mayor of Sewell put on the table the possibility of joint thematic competitions with schools on technology, drawing, history, literature, science ...., In a plan to boost cultural and art that the City will launch.

Finally, Sanchez-Mora and Buendia agreed on the need to implement specific action plans for groups and neighborhoods with students with special needs, and that these plans are integrated into a more comprehensive approach embracing social welfare, family, youth , among others.

The meeting ended with the Mayor's invitation to the Minister to visit Sewer and directly know the work of teachers in schools and the challenges that the educational community as a whole ahead.
