This morning was held the final phase of Escolar ECOEMBES 2014 Contest, organized by the Concejalía of Environment of the Ayuntamiento de Alcantarilla and with the sponsorship of the aforementioned company.
This year the goal of the contest was that students work in teams to develop a video or presentation, in which should address some or all of the following:
- Raising awareness about the importance of recycling and of a correct separation of packaging waste.
- Plasmar practical ideas that motivate or foment the separation and recycling of packaging waste.
- Show as a correct separation of packaging waste in their respective containers must be performed.
La first phase began last month of November and the works were collected the January 22 this year.
This time there has been a great turnout, as they have been a total of 39 jobs, corresponding to students in 4th and 5th of Primary schools: Jara Carrillo, Campoamor, San Jose Obrero, Our Lady of Health, Jacinto Benavente and Sagrado Corazón.

El act of this morning has state chaired by Juan José Gómez Hellín, first deputy mayor and responsible of Urbanism and Environment.
For its part the jury charged with make selection of the winners has state formed by José Imbernón, communicator of Radio Sintonía and actor, Santiago Sánchez Navarro, director of Alcantarilla TV and Juan Antonio Mata, Head of Service of the Concejalía of Environment.
A the final phase have been classified 11 teams, 9, with Jobs of video and 2 of Power Point.
El aspect who presented the stands era very good with a large attendance of pupils, teachers and relatives of the young competitors.
After viewing the finalists, winners were:
1st) Team of 5 ° B del Sagrado Corazón Colegio, with the coordination of Professor Alfonso García García and composed by students Carmen Mª López García, Lucía Iniesta Motos and Rebeca Cerón Camps.
2nd) Team of 4 ° A of CEIP Campoamor, with the coordination of Professor José Hernández González and composed by students Daniel Barquero Bastida, Alvaro Belchí Munuera, Paula Gómez Riquelme and John Cristofer Roca Camacho.
3rd) Team of 5 ° B del Sagrado Corazón Colegio, under the direction of Professor Alfonso García García and formed by students Mario Hernández Manzano, Paula Rubio-Pérez Pellicer and Noemí Martínez Soriano.
All schools, teachers and students participants have obtained sponsored ECOEMBES gifts.
To finish the event, spoke Councilman Environment, Juan José Gómez Hellin, who congratulated the winners and thanked the teachers overexertion which is coordinating this type of work, regardless of their already heavy agenda and amid the changes that implantation of the LOMCE is assuming for centers of Primary Education.
Also highlighted the mayor the importance of education to teach students about conservation of the environment, respect for nature and responsible behavior to collaborate in a more livable city, likewise said proud by guidance from the council is had given in recent four years respect of environmental education, with a clear objective of incentivize the positive habits among schoolchildren.
