Since last year 2013/2014 the City Sewer, through the Department of Sports, has been collaborating with the University of Murcia, through the Research Group, Sport Management and Recreation "INGESPORT", Faculty of Sciences Sport at the University of Murcia, along with the Center for Teaching Samaniego, giving therein the TAFAD (Superior Animation Physical and Sports Activities Technical) and laboratory practices becoming Research and Training in Sports Science.
Now the collaboration continues between City Hall and University of Murcia, along with Samaniego Cooperative Education, has also been agreed by treaty which aims the boost training and research in the sport of Murcia and play an directly to improving the quality of life of all Murcia, with studies on sport habits and the effects on health conditions, with the participation of sports programs town of Sewell and the number of federal practitioners, school and walkers to be agreed with the Department of Sports.
The agreement will last for four years and may be extended by express agreement of the parties before it expires.
The agreement was signed by the mayor of Sewell, Lazarus Mellado Sanchez, the rector of the University of Murcia, José Pedro Orihuela Calatayud and Samaniego Cooperative Society, its president María Concepción Carrillo Cerdá.
It will also carry out the organization and development of training courses in school sport, sport centers (gyms), performance or other that could be considered of common interest, to be held on the premises of Samaniego Centre and shall comply with the established in Regulation's own studies at the University of Murcia.

The City Sewer, may facilitate the use of sports facilities for conducting research and training activities agreed to perform in applying this Convention.
And facilitate participation in sports programs, athletes and students as study groups in research projects arising from this Agreement.
Collaborating on information and management institutions and municipal associations to facilitate the development of activities that are generated in the agreement.
All this, considering that the City Sewer, has sports facilities of various kinds serve the citizens and institutions of the municipality and that the objectives set out in the general area of ​​sports programming, is promoting conditions to facilitate the direct participation of citizens in the implementation of activities and programs Deportivo field, through their representative bodies, that result either utility or social interest, either to achieve a public purpose.
By the University of Murcia, commitment comes through INGESPORT Research Group, which will be the ones with the design and structure of the research agreed to develop, providing human resources of the Group for the smooth thereof.
And the design of training activities to be agreed performed by components of the Group and promotion of approval to the relevant bodies of the University of Murcia.
Stemming the financial resources necessary for the development of planned activities for training courses for public services and in the case of research projects, funding that is available from public or private calls or aids that may be suitable for the purposes of this Agreement.
The Cooperative Education Society Samaniego, for the fulfillment of the objectives of this agreement will facilitate the Centre's facilities and materials necessary for the development of research and training activities and foster cooperation and participation of students currently studying in TAFAD on tasks research and training proposed by the INGESPORT group of the University of Murcia.
