The Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities is working with the 'Méndez Stop' Military Parachute School Air Base Sewer Historical Hall to recognize as its museum collection and thereby integrate the Regional Museum System.
This exhibition space has a number of objects, photographs and documents relating to the creation and history of the air base and jump school, unique and pioneering in Spain, hence the interest and uniqueness of what is shown.
The Director General of Cultural and Artistic Education, Carmen Batres said that "from the Ministry of Culture are collaborating to value this collection, which is certainly part of the military history of the country and, of course, in the region of Murcia ".
As part of the beginning of the process of cataloging the museum collection in Historical Hall, managing director accompanied the commanders of the Air Base Sewer and 'save Mendez' Military Parachute School Santa Clara Museum of Murcia, with to show the operation of its facilities and other issues of museology, exhibition and conservation of materials.
Batres said that "the processing continues to progress and now has to go through the Regional Advisory Council of Museums for evaluation."
Currently the Historical Room of the Base is visited in concert for school groups and other groups, who are surprised objects and documents relating to the beginnings and advances in the gun military parachutist.
