The Directorate General for the Environment said today that stations measure air quality in the Regional Monitoring Network Air Pollution located in the affected areas, especially in Sewell, have not detected any exceedance of the thresholds established in the regulations for the protection of health and the environment, for any of the measured parameters.

Therefore, the regional government says that the episode is not due to a problem of air pollution, but a bout of bad odors in the Sewer and environment.
The Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia and the Government Delegation will form a working group in order to identify the source of odors and take appropriate action.
The group will include representatives of the various competent management centers such as Public Health, Environment, Industry, Civil Protection and municipal representatives.
During the period from 20:00 hours on February 18 and 10:00 pm today there have been 102 calls to the 1-1-2 Emergency Center for odor episode in the Sewer and environment.
