Two agents of the National Police have rescued several residents inside a building in which a fire broke out during this morning.
One victim was lying on the ground unconscious with a bleeding head wound.
The two officers who performed heroics were taken to a hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
The incident took place at 02.00 pm tonight, when a woman came to the police station in Murcia town of Sewell to report that in his home, located on a nearby street, it was developing a large fire.
Quickly several officers rushed to the scene, where they could see the flames coming out the window of a house located on the second floor of the building.
Quick evacuation
Given the imminent danger and requests for help from inside the building, the acting agents decided to leave the building.
After evacuating all the people trying to leave the building on their own feet and fearing that any of them could have been trapped inside, two of the officers returned to the building to check the houses.
There, in a home on the second floor they found a man lying on the ground unconscious, bleeding profusely from a wound in his head.
This neighbor was evacuated in the arms of the agents, once outside, she underwent a first aid until the arrival of medical services.
Later, the residents of the building were evacuated welcomed into the Sewer police station where they were given blankets and fluids until emergency services authorized to return to their homes.
