Sewer City Council has signed an agreement with Catalunya Banc to gain access to housing for citizens with fewer resources.
This document provides a framework for collaboration with the financial institution to promote social rented housing, among which are part of the park owned by the bank.
Through this agreement, the owner agrees to take the necessary steps to carry out the rental housing at a price not exceeding 250 euros a month.
For its part, the City, through the Department of Social Services, shall receive applications from potential tenants and whether they comply with the requirements requested.
Conditions to be met by applicants:
A resident in the town of Sewell.
Not having, neither the individual nor the family are expected to reside with him, another home in the city.
Submit a situation of social need, in relation to access to housing, assessed by Social Services.
Perception monthly income exceeding 426 euros and that in any case has a financial availability such that the rental income does not involve more than 30% of their net monthly income.
Ability to deliver the amount of the deposit of the lease, (one month), payable at the time of signing the contract.
Priority will be given to couples with minor dependents, pensioners and young people who want to become independent.
For the development of the Convention and the resolution of issues of any kind that may arise during the term hereof, will constitute a Coordination and Monitoring Committee composed of representatives of the City and Catalunya Banc.
The said committee shall meet at the request of any of its members, and at least once every six months.
With this new agreement, the City is taking another step to help all those people who need housing and that because of having one very limited resources, they can not access it.
