The City Sewer and LATBUS Company have reached an agreement, which shall be paid the amount of 3,628,678.56 euros in ten years, using the same payment formula that was already provided for in the Payment Plan Providers.
The deal includes all the consideration of services performed by the carrier and subsidies applied to certain groups to bonificarles rates.
The final figure is the result of the check by the municipal technical services actually performed since January 1, 2006 until December 31, 2011, which were justified by the company through the submission of invoices along with the supporting documents of the amount of the grant requested and supporting documentation traveler type service users urban transport.
This agreement is the culmination of many months of work, in which the City Council has always been put on the table the need to extend the hours of service provision, as well as lower rates that have been applied to the line 44.
In the first case has already been a positive response from LATBUS, who for some weeks been giving more services to users online at Espinardo Hospital Center and Our Lady of the Arrixaca.
However, by the Corporation have requested that the services can also continue to provide on weekends, holidays and vacation periods for students.
Similarly, there have been several meetings with the director general of transport to get them to lower the prices that are being applied in line 44 as it passes through Sewell, for which is pending the study that is being out from the General, so as to provide a mechanism for regular users may benefit by a reduction in rates.
The proposed agreement shall be submitted for approval by the June regular plenary session, which will make feasible that can enter the quantities required in the municipal budget.
Both parties have done everything possible to close the deal without having to resort the courts, which could have delayed for a long time the possibility of improving the service and, what is worse, it could have been more costly for municipal interests.
