In this morning was held in the Plenary Hall of the City Sewer, the prize drawing contest of the "GROWS UP", which once again the City, with the departments of Education and the Personnel, with the service of Occupational Health and Safety, have been developing it, by the sponsor of that the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, an agency of the Ministry of Education, Training and Employment in the Region of Murcia.
The delivery of these awards was chaired by Mayor Sewell, Mellado Lazaro Sanchez, the director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the Region of Murcia, Tomas Perez Fuentes, along with the deputy mayor of the Culture and Education, Patricio Pérez Fernández.

This new edition of the "GROWS UP", has been catering to over 15,000 students in grades 5 Primary of all public and subsidized schools in the region.
Specifically in Sewell attended seven schools "Our Lady of the Assumption", "Jacinto Benavente", "Campoamor", "The Tejeras", "Jara Carrillo", "Our Lady of Health" and " vistabella ".
The competition involved 105 students, in particular: "Our Lady of the Assumption" - 20 students, "Jacinto Benavente" - 15 students, "Campoamor" - 8 students, "The Tejeras" - 19 students, "Jara Carrillo "- 12 students," Our Lady of Health "- 26 students and" Vistabella "- 5 students.
The directors and representatives of the seven schools received at the hands of the authorities of the different diplomas students who participated in the contest.
The campaign is a first contact of students with occupational risk prevention and is designed for schoolchildren to learn to act with caution in those circumstances that could pose a threat to the physical integrity or health, so that they are shown how avoid risks in their usual environment, ie at home, school, the park or the street, and that may result in accidents or undesirable conditions.
It is important that students can face liability risks of their environment and internalize prevention as a natural habit in their daily lives.
In this sense, we must seize the ease with which students of this age internalize certain behaviors to project a preventive culture to accompany them throughout life.
Students have participated in talks in which professionals schoolchildren have shown the most common risks in their daily activities, such as falls, burns, electrical hazards, cuts, wounds, or knock, and the steps they can take to avoid them.
The campaign has enjoyed drawing this contest is now finalizing all local phases in the different municipalities and a regional, with the first prize.
With this initiative, which have participated since its first edition, more than 100,000 students across the region, is one of the measures included in the Regional Plan IV Occupational Health and Safety, making prevention is taken into account from early age, implying that increasing labor market have a much safer and healthier.
