IU-Green has reported today that 355 pensioners who qualify for the bonuses requested in the water bill in 2011 received no response from the council and now Aquagest Sewer, service concessionaire, is demanding the payment of the year.
The training explained that it claims the council, administrative silence is understood as a negative response to the aid, which is, in his view, "a lack of seriousness" since the administration should respond in writing yes or no to applications.
"This situation is caused by the irresponsibility of the council, plus the case of seniors, a group that has to be treated with greater care and you need to make life easier, not more complicated as has the Department of Social Services."
He asserted that Aquagest not send any receipt to those affected, and now is demanding the payment of water for the past year.
It has also called on the government team to resolve "urgently" the demands of those affected.
