The Governing Council has approved the declaration of cultural interest, with the rank of Monument, the aqueduct Los Arcos, located in the Rambla de Las Zorreras in Sewell, who is one of the earliest remains of the historic irrigation system, along the ditch Aljufía La Nora.
It consists of three aqueducts attached to host channels Alquibla ditches, and Dava Turbedal to save the drain of the Rambla de Las Zorreras on the river Segura.
Dated between the eleventh and thirteenth centuries, the aqueduct is an element of the ethnographic heritage of traditional irrigation of the garden of Murcia, to understand and interpret their performance.
The work saves the uneven terrain and reflects a type of construction typical of traditional agricultural society in the garden of Murcia and how it has been transformed throughout history.
