The director general of Transport and Ports, Carmen Sandoval, accompanied by Mayor Sewer, Lazarus Mellado, today visited the new bus shelters have been installed in the municipality by the grant from the Ministry of Public Works and Planning to improve service public transport.
"With these new facilities more comfortable trying to do waiting for citizens to offer, ultimately, better service quality and promote the use of public transport in the town," said Sandoval.
The new facility, located on the streets and avenues Carmen Prince and Santa Ana, have been funded with 42,400 euros in aid line driven by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning to improve mobility in 45 municipalities in the region.
Through these grants, the Ministry through the Directorate General for Transport and Ports, has also financed the installation of new shelters at stops with greater influx of travelers from Molina de Segura, Puerto Lumbreras, Lorquí, Eagles, Calasparra Mula and Fortuna.
Furthermore, actions were financed renovation and improvement of bus stations and transportation centers in various municipalities in the Region, to facilitate the use of such facilities to both service users and professionals of the sector.
