On the weekend of May 12 and 13, a large aeronautical event will be organized at the Alcantarilla Air Base, in which civilian and military paratroopers will meet to establish a new record of Spain of large formations in free fall, and thus beat the current record of 54 established in 1996, in Zaragoza.
This year marks the 70th anniversary of the first military parachute launch in Spain, so you want to "make a nod" to this anniversary.
70 will be the paratroopers (22 from the Air Force and 48 from the Royal Spanish Aeronautical Federation RFAE), who will join in a big star during the free fall from more than 6500 meters high and descending to 200km / h.
During that weekend there will be training launches to finally, on Sunday, make the official launch and set the new record to beat.
All those who want to approach the launching area will be able to do it on Saturday, the 12th, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Sunday, the 13th, from 9:30 a.m. to the 13 p.m .: 30, where you will enjoy a sky dotted with color by the 70 bells of the parachutes during its opening, and the spectacular landfalls of the jumpers.
