A total of 81 families of Sewer will benefit from 113,000 euros of aid from the 2017 call of the Housing Plan of the Region of Murcia, to improve accessibility in their buildings and homes.
This was said today by the Director General of Planning, Architecture and Housing, Laura Sandoval, in the visit to the building 'Rocasa 4', located in this town, which will be one of the actions in which the Community will subsidize 50 percent and whose purpose is to eliminate architectural barriers.
Sandoval stressed that "these public aids are a boost in improving accessibility and also an injection for the architecture and engineering sector, and therefore for regional growth."
He recalled that in the announcement of the Housing Plan of 2017, 2.4 million have been granted for 79 works to improve accessibility in buildings, of which six are made in buildings located in Alcantarilla.
This plan will benefit a total of 916 families.
The director put the building 'Rocasa 4' as an "example of good practice" in the use of public funds aimed at improving the accessibility of private buildings.
This building, with 20 homes, requested aid worth more than 21,000 euros for the installation of an elevator, as well as for the improvement of common areas.
