The General Director of the Police, Germán López Iglesias, has considered that the geotechnical and topographic studies for the construction of the future National Police station in Sewer could be completed throughout 2018, with the approval of the General State Budgets , and then the writing of the project will have to be done.
In this sense, he has shown the "commitment" of the Ministry of the Interior with the construction of the future police station, which will be located on Calle Mayor José Legaz, although he has not provided the execution deadlines.
López Iglesias made these statements during his visit to the lands where the future police station will be installed, accompanied by the Government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Francisco Bernabé;
the central head of Citizen Security and Coordination, José Antonio de la Rosa;
the superior commander of the National Police in the Region, Cirilo Durán;
and the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, among other authorities.
In this sense, Lopez Iglesias has stressed that in this type of projects must be "sufficiently prudent and can not say many specific things because we still do not have them."
He recalled that his visit is due to a commitment made with the mayor when he visited him in Madrid to learn about the situation of the police station's project.
When it comes to providing more information about this infrastructure, the general director of the Police has recalled that the General State Budgets are not yet approved.
However, it has admitted that "the connections we have had with the Town Hall Sewer have been perfect for this to progress."
"We already have the land, now the project we have to write ourselves", according to López Iglesias, who has stressed that, before its drafting, it is necessary to do the technical study and the geotechnical study required by the terrain, for which there will be hiring a company because the General Directorate of the Police does not have that service.
Once these studies are written, it has been advanced that the project will have to be drawn to tender.
"From there, once we have the project, it will not be difficult to get it out to tender in a matter of months," said the general director of the Police.
"That's what I can tell you because I can not venture to say a date because it's complicated," he said.
The reason for his visit, he said, was "to know 'on the spot' where the land is located and, above all, also so that the police somehow take contact with the city and we can see that the commitment has been acquired" , it is finished.
The general director of the Police has also known the interest of our City Council and the needs of this new Police Station, through our Mayor, Joaquín Buendía, in the visit he has made to the City Council, together with the rest of the authorities and check on various plans , the strategic place and with great facilities of exits and entrances to the future Police Station, in the place that has been decided to locate it.
