The CPEE Eusebio Martínez de Alcantarilla has suffered dangerous access for decades.
No sign warned the cars that it was a school zone and there were no zebra crossings.
There were no sidewalks either, and the pavement presented a lot of potholes, making it difficult for teachers and students to move, especially on rainy days, in which the wheelchairs of some students with functional diversity were trapped in the mud.
In November the Plenary Session of the City Council approved a motion of Podemos Alcantarilla to adequately condition the center's environment.
"As part of our commitment to the public school, we met with the board of the center and defend their claims in the City Council," said Arcadio Martinez, councilman of We Can Sewer.
The motion was approved unanimously and now the City Council has paved the street and is putting sidewalks and signage
