In the morning of Friday, in the Citizen Participation Center of Sewer, located next to the Museum of the Huerta, with the assistance of the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, accompanied by the councilor of Social Welfare, has been delivered the fifth solidarity check , this year 2017 of 44,000 euros, that the initiative that four taxi drivers, Málaga, Cádiz, Sevilla and Alcantarilla (Raquel Toledo de Alcantarilla, Rocío Montoya of Seville, Silvia Molinillo de Cádiz and Eva Torres de Málaga) began with the motto " MOVE INTO A TAXIS OF LIFE "and that from the beginning, after the assessment they made, they decided to hand over to the CRIS AGAINST THE CANCER FOUNDATION, which is a private and independent entity, whose objective is the promotion and the financing of research projects, for the treatment and cure of this disease.
The previous deliveries were made in Antequera (Málaga), in 2013, the second in Seville in 2014, in Cádiz in 2015, in 2016 again in Málaga.
The sewer Raquel Toledo, as an entrepreneur of this solidarity action, wanted it in this edition, collected in 2017, a large number of taxis, which are distinguished because their vehicles carry the slogan "MOVE IN A TAXIS FOR LIFE ", was made in our city.
The director of the Cris Contra el Cáncer Foundation, Marta Cardona, took part in a solidarity check and the president of the FAAT (Andalusian Auto Taxi Federation), Miguel Ruano, and the presidents of Radio Taxi Alcantarilla, José María, were present. Navarro, Tele Taxis city of Murcia and Radio Taxi Cartagena.
Everything was started through a Facebook page, called, women for the love of taxis, so they know each other and propose to do some altruistic work to collaborate with some association, and in 2013 they make calendars with photos of women taxi driver, after his sale they collect an amount of 6,000 euros, which is delivered in Antequera (Málaga).
In 2014 its collection amounts to 8,000 euros, also with the sale of solidarity calendars.
The check is delivered to the Foundation in Seville.
In 2015, it occurs to them that since taxis have many downtimes, they occupy them in the making of wristbands, which they call PULSERAS DE LA VIDA, as well as keyrings.
That year the collection amounted to 36,000 euros, as more and more taxi drivers from all over Spain are involved in this project.
The delivery of the collection was in Cádiz.
This delivery of the solidary check makes them receive the "CRIS" prize of the Foundation, which they received in Madrid.
In the year 2016 and continuing with the sale of bracelets and key rings, which they make themselves, they get a collection of 40,000 euros, which they deliver in the city of Malaga.
The taxis that participate in this initiative carry a motto that is "MOUNT IN A TAXIS OF LIFE"
This year 2018 for Murcia is special, since our Region has been chosen for the V SOLIDARY ENCOUNTER OF WOMEN TAXISTS OF ALL SPAIN, "Get on the taxi of life", "investing in research is investing in life", these are some of your phrases or slogans that repeat so many times.
In this Encuentro that begins in Alcantarilla, they expect a large number of female taxi drivers from all over Spain, since they have been waiting for one year to give the CRIS FOUNDATION AGAINST THE CANCER INFANTIL another small granite of sand.
The meeting is for the days 26, 27 and 28 of January, with Alcantarilla, Murcia, Cartagena and La Manga, as cities of the Region to visit.
