Citizens have asked for an urgent shock plan for the cleaning of lots that house the historical heritage of the municipality.
The motion of the formation, which will be discussed in the plenary next Thursday, specifies the aqueduct of Las Zorreras, the ferris wheel, the hermitage of the Virgen de la Salud and the bridge of Las Pilas as the places where this action should be priority, explained the spokesman of the municipal group, Francisco Álvarez.
"Our commitment to our heritage is unwavering, but we must go further, because an environment full of debris, weeds or abandoned furniture completely tarnishes their wealth," he added.
"The state of the environment of our historical heritage offers an unfortunate image of the city. This proposed measure would suppose a greater image and value in the area, as well as greater security", explains Álvarez, who emphasizes that the cost of cleanings it would not mean a loss just in the public coffers, "since most of the plots are private and their owners are obliged to clean and maintain them in optimum conditions".
Ciudadanos wants to reach a consensus on the cleaning and maintenance plan in the Sewage Historic Heritage Follow-up Commission, "which since its approval in September last year has only met once to formally establish itself, which demonstrates the lack of interest of the team of Government of the PP of Joaquín Buendía for working together to recover our patrimony.
Against this, Citizens will continue to work and make proposals in order to improve their image, their value and their security ".
