In the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, attended last Friday the Command Delivery Ceremony of the "Zaragoza" 5 Parachute Infantry Regiment, in the Santa Barbara Barracks, leaving the same Colonel Luis Sánchez-Tembleque Letamendía and taking the chief of the Colonel Murcia de Rincon de Seca-José Manuel Ruipérez Gambín, an act that was chaired by the chief general of the Parachute Brigade "Almogávares" 6, Alfredo Pérez de Aguado Martínez.
Colonel Sanchez-Tembleque arrived for the creation of that Regiment in Murcia, in the Santa Barbara Substation, taking possession, already as head, on October 5, 2016. Now he goes to Madrid, in the EMAD (General Staff of the Defense ).
Colonel Ruipérez, is a native of Murcia, more specifically from the hamlet of Murcia Rincón de Seca.
He entered the General Military Academy in 1985, obtaining the lieutenant's job in 1990. His first assignment was in the extinct "Mallorca 13" Regiment of Lorca.
Subsequently he has occupied different destinations in the Parachute Brigade, both in Madrid and Murcia, from 1992 to 2011, date in which he began to provide services in the employment of Lieutenant Colonel to the Services Unit of the Príncipe Base (Madrid).
His last destiny, during the last four years, before ascending to Coronel and being destined to the Headquarters of the Regiment "Zaragoza 5", has been in the Regiment of Support for Emergency Intervention (RAIEM) of the UME.
He is in possession of various military courses, among others, that of specialist in battle tanks, paratrooper, civic-military cooperation and disaster management.
He also has a civil studies curriculum, with a master's degree in Civil Protection and Emergency Management, as well as a master's degree in Integral Security Management and Management.
José Manuel Ruipérez Gambín, throughout his long professional life has been decorated with the Plaque, Encomienda and Cruz of the Royal and Military Order of San Hermenegildo, five Crosses of Military Merit, as well as the United Nations and NATO Medals for their participation in international peace missions in Bosnia, Kosovo and Lebanon.
