That has been the commitment of the Director General of the Police, Germán López Iglesias, in the meeting held this morning with the Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, at the headquarters of the General Directorate in Madrid and with the presence also of the Senator for Murcia , the Nuria Guijarro sewer.

The Senator highlighted the facilities provided by the Director General and the degree of involvement perceived for the development of the project.

He noted that "the senators and deputies of the Region of Murcia have a firm commitment to all actions in the region, as is the case of the new Sewer Police Station".

The National Police will write the project for the execution of the new police station next year so that its bidding can be carried out in the same year 2018. Previously, geotechnical studies and the definition, by the technicians of the police infrastructures, of the needs and the requirements of the police station of Alcantarilla, the fifth municipality of the Region, to provide both current and future services in the medium term with the highest level of effectiveness and quality.

The meeting was held after the approval, in the plenary session of the City Council, of the proposal made by the Government Team to cede a plot of 1,800 square meters in the street Mayor José Legaz Saavedra, next to the children's garden of the neighborhood of Torrica.

Buendía thanked the interest shown from the beginning by the General Directorate of the Police, which since visiting the current facilities in May 2016 coincided with the City Council in the urgent need to build a new police station that offers a better working space to members of the Body and better quality services to all the people who need them.

"It is very necessary project for Sewer and its surroundings, soon we will have a modern National Police Station for agents and citizens can provide and receive services of the highest quality," said the Mayor.

The forecast of the General Directorate of the Police is that, once the construction of the new police headquarters is awarded by the end of 2018, within a period of about 18 months we can count on the new Sewer Police Station.
