The project "Improving coordination in gender-based violence in the social-health field" aims to establish coordinated case management mechanisms among health professionals, social services and resources specialized in gender violence
The Citizen Participation Center of Alcantarilla City Hall welcomes professionals from the municipalities of Alcantarilla, Murcia, Molina de Segura, Lorquí, Ceutí, Alguazas, Librilla and Las Torres de Cotillas, all of the first of a series of "Seminars to promote socio-sanitary coordination in gender violence," specifically this morning in our city centered on the area of ​​Primary Care Social Services.
The event was inaugurated by Mayor Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, along with the director general of Planning, Research, Pharmacy and Citizen Care, Maria Teresa Martinez, accompanied by the Councilor for Social Welfare and Health of Alcantarilla City Council, Francisca Terol .
The closing of this day in our municipality has been in charge of the director general of Women and Equality of Opportunities, Alicia Barquero.
The Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, through the Directorate General for Women and Equal Opportunities, is developing the project "Improving coordination in gender-based violence in the social-health field," an initiative funded by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality.
The project seeks to establish coordinated case management mechanisms among health professionals, social services and resources specialized in gender violence.
Likewise, the exchange and adoption of good practices of detection and intervention in gender violence among these professionals will be promoted, while progress is made in comprehensive and personalized care for victims of gender violence.
In order to cover a large number of professionals, as well as to achieve a greater specialization, these seminars are organized in a comarcalized way and in each one of them will be focused on a specific area of ​​sanitary or social intervention.
The seminars will replicate a similar structure and will be focused on professional practice, with direct health care, social services and gender violence personnel.
In addition, the materials and conclusions of the seminars will be reflected in a subsequent publication to be employed by other Administrations and people interested in this matter, as stated by the director general María Teresa Martínez.
These seminars are addressed, as a priority, to health professionals from different specialties, regional and local administration staff of the Network of Specialized Resources on Gender Violence, professionals from any area integrated in the Local Coordinating Tables against Violence of Gender and technicians of the Social Services Center of Zone 2, as well as to gender violence perpetrators of the Health Centers.
The presentation of the Sociosanitary Coordination Project on Gender Violence has been carried out by Elena Almagro, head of negotiation of the Directorate General of Women and Equality of Opportunities in the Region of Murcia.
Next, Elena Candela and Francisca Navarro, social workers from the Center for Social Services of Primary Care in Jumilla have discussed the "Approach and Coordination in Gender Violence in the Social Services Area", to advance the morning with an example of coordination between the CAVI and the socio-health field, in charge of the CAVI Alcantarilla team, dealing with a case study and the exposure and group work.
Finishing this seminar with the conclusions of the same, by a representative of each group and closing, as we indicated was made by the director of Women and Equality of Opportunities, Alicia Barquero.
