Alcantarilla has lost the possibility of receiving 5 million euros of European funds from the second call for the Sustainable Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI), because the PP Government Team has not finally submitted any project.
The selected EDUSI will be developed over several years, through co-financing of ERDF funds and municipal entities, within the European Sustainable Growth 2014-2020 plan.
The PP Government Team announced that a project would be presented in the second call, after not being selected Sewer in the first.
In the web of the Town Hall still appears a section, completely empty, that supposedly was going to collect opinions and citizen proposals for this second call.
Several workers of the City Council have worked on the elaboration of this project and there have been rounds of work with the political parties and other social organizations.
The expenditure on personnel and means is done and in the end the Government Team has not fulfilled its part, throwing away the work of all by not presenting the project.
We Can Alcantarilla has presented through its councilor Arcadio Martínez a motion for Sewell to appear at the third call EDUSI, which will probably be the last opportunity to access these European funds, so necessary to improve the lives of our neighbors.
We Can Sewer also requires explanations on the reasons why the project was not submitted to the second call, as well as the publication of the project not presented.
