This school will have 133 children of Primary and Secondary Education during the months of July and August, 62 more than last year.
The counselor learned about the activities carried out during the month of July in the center, 81 children, 41 children (eight of them derived from the Department of Social Welfare) and 40 in Primary.
Of these, 68 make use of the dining room during this month.
In August they no longer have a dining room and the summer school has 52 seats, 26 for each of the cycles.
This initiative, financed by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities, is developed jointly with the councils of Education and Social Welfare of the Consistory of Alcantarilla.
The main purpose of the bilingual municipal summer school project is to provide a resource that responds to the need to reconcile the family and work life of the parents of Alantarilla during the school holidays, in a safe space, fostering integration, learning And the coexistence of minors and with English as a transversal axis in all workshops.
At the event, Violante Tomás stated that the regional government allocates more than 40 million euros to the social care of families in the Region who are vulnerable, covering food, hygiene, clothing, housing and employment needs.
"Of these grants, more than two million euros, they are dedicated to municipal social projects, municipalities and mancomunidades, so that they can finance the social action plans that they develop throughout the year.A total of 17,132 people and 4,859 Families benefited in 2016 from these grants, "said the counselor.
Cooking for children
Alarantarill's summer school began its activity last July 3 and will continue until August 31, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, and has a reception service from eight in the morning.
In the same, for the children of 3 to 6 years, traditional games are made, sport games, of balance and aim, of psicomotricidad, imitation, corporal expression and motor coordination.
