Pedro Rivera informed the mayor that he will request a meeting with the Ministry of Public Works to advance the best solution to integrate the high speed in Alcantarilla that responds to the needs and great current challenges of the locality.
Also, the situation of the AVE between Murcia, Lorca and Almería was analyzed and it was indicated that the platforms in Santomera-Librilla, Alhama-Totana and Totana-Lorca are already executed and the recent tender for 6.3 million euros of four projects ( Lorca-Pulpí, Pulpí-Vera, Los Arejos-Níjar and Níjar-Almería) that will allow to extend the network of high speed.
The minister also analyzed the fifth section, Murcia (Sangonera) -Lorca, which due to its special complexity has been directly charged to INECO (a means of the Ministry of Development), as it comprises parts of works already completed and parts of new work to be executed Between the stretches already made.
In both cases, it will be necessary to maintain the railway service for the duration of work, both on the line and at the stations.

Improvement of transport and roads

The councilor announced that the bidding process will enable a pedestrian transit zone on the RM-560 road, which connects Alcantarilla with Puebla de Soto and Molina de Segura, to facilitate the displacement of the neighbors between Alcantarilla and the Murcian hamlet, An action that has an investment of 119,500 euros.
The regional government has already carried out work to adapt and improve the road safety of this road, which consisted in repairing and rebuilding a part of the stone wall that collapsed on the irrigation channel and reinforcing the road to the Puebla junction of Soto, which is where the pedestrian transit zone will be enabled.
The Ministry of Presidency and Development is also drafting the RM-E4 enhancement project, known as the Los Soldados road, to optimize access to the industrial estate West from Alcantarilla which has an annual traffic of 2.2 million vehicles.
This action will mean an investment of 327,000 euros.
