In the morning of today, 1500 people joined the 13th Solidarity March "For Alzheimer's", an event organized every year by the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer's Patients and Sewer Dementias, in order to raise awareness and awareness of the social problems of Alzheimer's disease.
This year, like the past, always surpassing the number of participants, among students of Alcantarilla, users, relatives, volunteers and professionals of AFADE, in addition to other centers of older people of the locality and groups of our municipality.
Before leaving the square of San Pedro, in front of our Town Hall, the mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, encouraged them to continue carrying out actions like this one of awareness and to make known, if still more, the work and the effort that this Large group of relatives of patients of AFADE, along with the technicians and professionals who work in the Day Center, which in Carmen street of our city have, carry out.
There they were the president of AFADE Alcantarilla, Julia Fernandez, the Councilor of Social Welfare, Health and Consumption, Francisca Terol, accompanied also by other members of the Municipal Corporation, who performed along the rest of the participants the route Mayor street, to the garden of Campoamor, always accompanied also by personnel of the Local Sewer Police, Civil Protection and Spanish Red Cross Sewer.
