On April 8, at the Cultural Center "Infanta Elena" Sewer, at 8:00 pm, the Brotherhood of St. Peter the Apostle and Stmo.
Christ of Hope Sewer, we plan to carry out the traditional act, this year coinciding with our silver wedding, since it is the XXV Golden Cock, a distinction that our Brotherhood has always granted during these last 24 editions to entities, bodies And associations linked to our Brotherhood.
But this year, in a very special year in which we commemorate our 25th anniversary of the Golden Rooster, the Brotherhood's proposal has been not to deliver this distinction and to take advantage of the acceptance we have achieved, by naming him a crier, and hearing his excellent words, Which will be sure, of our Cardinal and Archbishop Emeritus of Madrid, the Emmo.
And Rvdmo.
Sr. Antonio Maria Rouco Valera, thank you in advance, the predisposition to attend our invitation to proclaim this great act of the Brotherhood, taking into account the commemoration and that can simultaneously preside the same.
The Brotherhood also adopted the agreement to appoint Brother of Honor of the same, making him deliver the distinctions of the same during the night of the proclamation in the act of the Golden Cock.
For the members of the Brotherhood and for the Brother himself, Juan de la Luz Pérez Salmerón "it is an honor that Don Antonio Maria Rouco enters to be part of this already great family of criers of the Golden Cock of our Brotherhood, as well as To integrate the same with the appointment of Brother of Honor, this year being a very special year, to commemorate this twenty-fifth anniversary of that first great act of ours, in the year 1993. My memories come to me now also because we celebrate it in the hall of Acts of the Francisco Salzillo Institute, it was the year that for the first time our proprietor, the image of San Pedro, was carried on the shoulders of our portapasos and it was also the year that for the first time came the now, disappeared, band of Romans de San Pedro and in front of her as director of the same the sewer, already deceased, Vicente Cano Lopez (Hipólito). In short, it is to be proud to fulfill this ephemeris and that is presidie
Our Cardinal ".
