This unit will offer an accompanying service and psychological care in emergency situations for cases derived by the Emergency Telephone Assistance Device for battered women 112 Región de Murcia.
Violante Tomás explained that "in cases of gender violence that are susceptible to be treated by the GEPSA, the aggressor does not have to be present in the place where the victim is, and the security forces and Assistance that is being provided. "
Thus, it will act as a matter of urgency when the woman has to leave the home for aggression or threats and lacks alternative housing resources and when, if they have them, there is a risk of being located by the aggressor.
Among the factors considered as aggravating that require this support and support from the Psychosocial Emergency Group is the existence of minor children, who also suffer aggression or are indirect victims for witnessing them, in addition to the emotional state of women, Have any type of disability, are pregnant, the absence of relatives and support persons or that their address is in an isolated or conflictive area.

In case of detecting the need for intervention by health services, State Security Forces and Bodies or other services, 112 will establish contact, in accordance with its operating protocols.
This agreement was launched in 2015 through a pilot experience with the City of Murcia, and in 2016 was extended to the Civil Protection Unit of Lorca.
