The Spanish Confederation of Police (CEP) in the Region of Murcia celebrates a training day with the objective of knowing the use of drones and its regulations (24/02/2017)

The Sewer Citizen Participation Center has hosted a training day in the morning of which about 100 people participated, among members of the National Police affiliated to this union, as well as the Local Police and Civil Protection Sewer And municipal technicians of the City Council, with the objective of knowing the application of the drones and their regulations, as well as their sanctioning procedure.

This training day has been organized by the Regional Committee of Murcia, the Spanish Police Confederation (CEP), representative union of the National Police, in collaboration with the Alcantarilla City Council.

The opening ceremony was attended by Mayor Alcantarilla, Joaquín Buendía, as well as the Chief of Police of the Region of Murcia, Cirilo Durán, considering this initiative as "a fundamental tool" in the immediate future of the forces and bodies of security.

The welcome to the authorities and participants in the Conference was made by the National Deputy Secretary of the CEP, Mateo Cuadrado, along with regional secretary, Francisco Gambín.

This initiative consisted of a theoretical part that was developed in the morning today, starting at 9:30 am, offering a general view on aeronautical culture, showing the main applications of these devices and informing about the regulatory framework that Regulates the use of remotely piloted aircraft systems, popularly known as drones.

The lecture was given to Tomás Fenoll, member of the forces and security forces, pilot of plane, instructor of Ground Theorists to obtain the Basic and Advanced Certificate of piloting RPAS.

This training day has enabled registered professionals to know the rules applicable to the use of drones, their sanctioning procedure and the possible uses of these technologies and applications in the civil field, such as natural disaster management, fire and environmental accidents, surveillance Of land traffic, environmental protection, support to agriculture or forestry applications.

The rapporteur, Tomás Fenoll, has offered a generalized view on aeronautical culture, so that police officers can handle basic terminology necessary to understand certain aspects necessary to intervene with drones, showing the main applications of these Devices in the civil area as well as in the Security and Emergency sector.

As well as general information on the International, European and National Aeronautical Framework, and specifically on the current regulations on this type of drones.

The contents that today have been treated in this day have been the origins of the RPAS (drones), exposing the definitions that have arisen according to its evolution, with the classes of existing aircraft and showing the same ones converted to RPAS.

And finally the Air Circulation Regulation, Air Navigation Law, Air Safety Act, RPAS Regulation, Airspace Classification, Visual Flight Rules, Instrumental Flight Rules.
