The Minister of Economic Development, Tourism and Employment, Juan Hernandez, accompanied by the Director General of Trade and Consumer Protection, Francisca Cabrera, chaired this morning the delivery to 46 shops of Alcantarilla of the distinctive 'Sol Región de Murcia'.
In the act, which was also present the mayor of the municipality, Joaquín Buendia, as well as the president of the Associated Commerce Sewer, Dolores Cánovas, was awarded to those businesses adhering to the Code of Good Practices of Retail Trade in the Region of Murcia .
The counselor stressed the importance of small commerce for the municipalities, since "they bet on proximity, offer quality service and generate employment".
He also said that the regional government will continue to design measures to help traders in difficult times, because "23 percent of the regional economy depends on small business."
