About 30 students from IES Francisco Salzillo de Alcantarilla visited last Thursday the facilities of the company Derivados Químicos, initiating a series of educational visits programmed to promote and encourage the scientific vocation of local schoolchildren through direct knowledge of the processes Productive of one of the most important chemical-pharmaceutical plants of the Region.

The employees themselves explained to the students on the spot the particularities of the sophisticated technical equipment of Chemical Derivatives while accompanying them during their visit to the most important dependencies of the factory: quality control laboratories, raw materials stores, synthesis plant, Area of ​​ecology, R & D laboratory and Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer (RTO).

Chemical Derivatives is added to the Science and Technology Week activities that will begin tomorrow at the Malecón, making it possible for students of Alcantarilla to know closely the high-tech scientific processes that are developed near their place of residence .

Thanks to the encouragement of their teachers, other groups of local schoolchildren will visit the factory in the coming weeks.
