At noon today, the Sewer Employment Launcher has been closed, through the director general of SEF (Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia), Alejandro Zamora, Alcantarilla Mayor, Joaquín Buendía and Montse Bernad, the Technician of this Shuttle of Employment, that closed during an all day morning open day, in which have participated about about forty people.
Five months of activity, which have allowed 13 of the 25 unemployed participants to be hired, that is, 52 percent.
All these people were between 20 and 48 years old.
The closing ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Director General for Employment, María Ángeles Rodríguez Prats, the Councilor for Employment, Industry, Commerce and the Environment, José Antonio López Olmedo, along with other members of the Municipal Corporation.
This initiative, promoted by the Fundación Santa María la Real, Fundación Telefónica and the SEF, with the collaboration of Alcantarilla City Council and the co-financing of the European Social Fund, has as its mission the search for employment opportunities for personal and professional growth.
For this they have counted on the orientation and the accompaniment of a technician specialized in human resources and in formation for the employment.
Those responsible for the group have strengthened not only job search resources, but also personal skills, such as trust and the ability to confidently face a job interview.
In addition, and in order to attract job offers, have consulted and worked on social networks, such as Linkedin or Twitter, as well as different job portals.
Throughout these five months, the group has visited numerous companies, such as Hero, Plasbel, Randstad or Inforges, among others, with the aim of making themselves known, arranging interviews and promoting job intermediation.
The SEF's director general, Alejandro Zamora, pointed out at the closing day "the excellent work done with these people," and stressed that "it is essential that the unemployed reach these levels of activation, that does not yield in the process Of job search in spite of the difficulties that it finds, because in the end the job opportunity will arrive ".
Helping more unemployed people
Under the title "The Compass of Employment, Oriéntate", the day has been developing from ten in the morning until two in the afternoon, which has been the time that has been closed by the director general of the SEF And the Mayor of Alcantarilla, in the auditorium of the Center for Citizen Participation, along with the Sewer Local Development Agency and the Huerta Museum, the participants themselves being responsible for imparting several workshops on new strategies and tools for access To the labor market: personal brand, networking, professional photos and elevator pitch.
In this way, the participants in this Sewer Worker, have wanted to demonstrate everything they have learned, contributing to help other unemployed people in the municipality, sharing with them the knowledge acquired and teaching new ways to present themselves as professionals in the Current market.
Papers, colloquium and closing
The day continued at twelve o'clock with the presentation "10 useful concepts for the search of employment", given by Antonio Llamas Botía, professional counselor of the COIE (University of Murcia);
And the talk "The best work in the world", carried out by coach Carolina Romero.
