In the morning the mayor of Sewell, Joaquin Buendia and Jose Tomas Nicholas, president of the CEOM Association, Association for the Integration of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities have signed a collaboration agreement to carry out in the City Sewer, as workplace, the training cycle: Auxiliary activities Nurseries and Garden, promoted by the Association and that will develop in the area of ​​Works and Services of our City.
The agreement was approved by the Local Government Board last March 22.
At the signing they were also attended by the councilors of Social Welfare, Francisca Terol and Works and Services, Laura Sandoval, with teachers and technicians CEOM.
There were also two students who carried out this training course and Juan Francisco Canovas, the member CEOM that since 2008 is developing its administrative and ordinance in the area of ​​Social Services tasks.
The collaboration that the City Sewer provides for the integration of people with disabilities will more with this new collaboration agreement with CEOM, as it allows 5 students of the educational institution, will be incorporated soon to be developed and trained in the tasks as assistants nurseries and gardens.
The period of collaboration is one year, with the possibility of extension and must perform 120 hours, that will develop in a 9:30 to 14:30 hours.
The mayor, Joaquín Buendía, has advanced them to the place where training will be at the Museum of the Huerta, where it already has prepared a greenhouse, especially for them to begin their educational tasks in it.
Sewer Mayor Joaquin Buendia, stressed that "this agreement comes to continue the collaboration initiated with CEOM in 2008 and that gave us the presence of tosher José Francisco Canovas, from eight years ago with us, notably making their work in the Social Services Centre, made one hundred percent with neighboring users and staff of the City Council, which is to some comrades. as the agreement was held in March 2010, which allowed 5 new teachers that center CEOM carry out their tasks in municipal areas of Internal Affairs, Culture and Urbanism ".
Buendia, they said "the tremendous satisfaction of collaborating with the magnificent work done CEOM, which have been knowledgeable, especially in the bet on training for the young people who are at the center, we will overturn to facilitate and make more attractive tasks that will develop into one of the most important frameworks Sewer, as is the Museo de la Huerta, being open to continue working with the Association, where one of its functions is to promote formal education, so that people with disabilities intellectual can obtain a degree in different professional profiles to facilitate and endorse them in their subsequent employment. "
CEOM president, Jose Tomas, recalled that "while we are giving training to these guys to give them an opportunity in the workplace, but to complete this training we need practice."

This is the mission of CEOM, which arises from the union of families of Murcia with members with intellectual disabilities, in order to improve their quality of life and social integration through actions and activities that include: the study of their conditions and needs , prevention, early intervention, education, occupation at work, leisure, sport, culture, guardianship, housing, and generally everything that contributes to the achievement of its goals.
The City Sewer received in 2010 the Laurel Award for Institutional FEAPS Murcia, Federation which is also CEOM, by the collaboration with the Association and the integration of Francisco Jose Canovas in our administrative area of ​​Social Services.
