If time permits, on the night of Tuesday Santo, Sewer celebrates the procession of Penance, with the Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesus "Medinaceli" and Our Lady of Hope "Macarena", departing from the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, opposite the Town Hall, at 21:00 hours and through the streets Mayor, Ruiz Carrillo, Beata Piedad de la Cruz, square Jara Carrillo, streets Ramon y Cajal, Madrid, Nona, Steps, Cross, Mayor and back to the St. Peter's Church.
This procession takes as almost all brotherhoods of our town their images and thrones on the shoulders of the various brotherhoods.
Since 1996 Nuestro Padre Jesus "Medinaceli" is ported with 65 shelves and for some years both women and men and the "Macarena" is taken from 1997 with 65 other shelves makes portapasos.
There are two steps that the cortege procession, the aforementioned Jesus of Medinaceli and the "Macarena", both of Murcia José Noguera Valverde imaginero and in 1951 made the first in 1952 and the second image.
The Brotherhood of Penance was founded in January 1951, being recognized by the Bishopric of Cartagena on 15 March that año1951, and at present with 220 brothers penitents.

This procession before leaving the Convent of San Francisco, changed for years the place of departure and is now done from the Church of St. Peter the Apostle, having the Chapel-seat of Christ of Medina and the Brotherhood itself in Pintor Mariano street Ballester, where every morning Wednesday weekly market opens its doors and is visited by hundreds of people, all a tradition, while Ntra. Sra. de la Esperanza "Macarena", is venerated in the church of San Roque.
This toshers brotherhood is twinned since 1952 with the Christ of Medinaceli of Madrid, the first established in Spain.
In it, sung arrows travel at two points both in the Plaza de San Roque and end of the procession at the meeting of the two thrones in St. Peter's Square before entering the church.
Holy Tuesday in Sewell was always characterized by the many women dressed for typical "Manolas" accompanying Ntra. Sra. De la Esperanza "Macarena", with special participation of women of the Association of Housewives and the Federation Peñas festive and Cultural Sewer, with the participation of the queens and ladies of the May Festival.
