ADIF has completed work on improving the accessibility of the station Sewer (Murcia), located in Chinchilla conventional wide line-Murcia-Cartagena.
These actions are part of the Station Modernization Plan, launched by the Ministry of Development as a means of stimulating the economy, and ADIF is underway for the permanent improvement of facilities and infrastructure of the wide network of conventional, the objective of offering its customers a higher quality and better security features, accessibility and comfort.
The performances, with an investment exceeding 92,000 euros, consisted of the following:
Treatment and recovery of the canopy of the main platform.
Corrugated plates that form the roof have been replaced by a new polyethylene plastic material arranged in two layers, which offers higher brightness and strength.
This means better insulation and sealing of the roof.
New electrical system with renewal of lighting points, fittings, electrical panels and protections.
In this respect, the lamps have been replaced in the canopy and the platform columns by others of greater strength incorporating a light baffle to limit light pollution, provide increased performance and help reduce the number of points of light in energy saving .
Enclosure of 600 m track opposite the passenger building.
We used two perimeter fence systems:
Urban type: on a concrete wall 85 cm profiles settle rigid metal mesh to reach 2.5 m in height.
Have closed 200 m.
The remaining 400 m have been fenced by posts and flexible mesh to the same height of 2.5 m.
These works are part of the permanent improvement actions carried out in Adif stations, installations and equipment ownership.
With this investment will be enhanced facilities, increased performance, which translates into greater reliability and higher quality in the management of the railway facilities at a lower cost.
