The City Council has completed the improvement and conditioning of the Ramón Mayor de Alcantarilla petanque courts, where it has installed a room equipped with a bathroom adapted for people with reduced mobility and a multipurpose space that will serve as a warehouse and meeting room. The objective is to improve the service provided by the Department of Sports to fans and the Virgen de la Paz-Las Tejeras Petanque Club, which has its headquarters there, and one of the commitments made by the Government team, included in the budgets by 2021. Another of the improvements to the facilities of the pétanque courts has consisted of the installation of a centralized lighting system and paving the surroundings to integrate the new facilities into the complex.
In total, it has involved an investment of 18,000 euros.
