| The Pedro Hern ndez Caballero Day Center also extends the service it provides to dependent elderly people with a total of 33 care places | The City Council of Alcantarilla and the Community guarantee the service that the Early Attention Center has provided since 2005 to 80 children in the municipality who suffer from problems in their development or who are at risk of suffering them.
The mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaqu n Buend a, and the Minister of Women, Equality, LGTBI, Families and Social Policy, Isabel Franco, today signed the agreement for the maintenance of the center's services, for a total amount of 135,000 euros, of which the City Council contributes 47,500, as approved by the Governing Board last September.
The mayor stressed that "for Alcantarilla the maintenance of the Early Care Center is vital and thus guarantee the families that need it that they can continue to receive the treatment appropriate to their needs without having to travel outside the municipality." The Sewer Early Attention Center cares for minors up to six years of age who present some psychomotor, sensory, cognitive disorder, autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit, language disorders or encephalopathies, among others, as well as those children who are at risk of suffering any of these alterations due to causes of biological or socio-environmental origin.
Minor users receive preventive or assistance treatments, depending on their needs, to enhance their development capacity, improve their integration and their personal autonomy.
The center also offers support, guidance and training to their families to accompany them in the adaptation process.

Since 2008, the Day Center offers care to elderly people in a situation of dependency from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00, with the aim of improving their living conditions, their level of autonomy.

Users receive support for their daily activities, personal hygiene, monitoring of the prescribed medication, transfer and accompaniment to health centers, rehabilitation and therapies to improve personal autonomy, maintenance adapted to their needs.
