The works to improve the Camino de los Soldados continue with the milling of the pavement before laying the final asphalt, the repair of the ditches and the completion of the first of the two roundabouts that the road will have, in the intersection with the Camino Hondo (RM-E3) towards San Gin s.
A central waiting lane is also being incorporated at the height of the north vortex of the West Industrial Estate to facilitate left turns and the road surface is being reinforced in a section of 2.8 kilometers.
In addition, another roundabout will be built at the connection with the Ermita road (RM-E28) towards Nonduermas and a T-shaped intersection to improve access to the Polygon.
The Minister of Development and Infrastructure, Jos Ram n D ez de Revenga, and the Mayor of Alcantarilla, Joaqu n Buend a, visited the development of the works today and pointed out that "it is an investment of the Long-awaited community because it is one of the main communication routes of Sewer with Pol gono Industrial Oeste and with the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital, through which more than 6,000 vehicles pass each day culos ".
The works began last October and have an execution period of 12 months, in which specific traffic diversions are being made at some points of the road and alternate passage of vehicles , to interfere as little as possible with the circulation.
This remodeling has an investment from the Ministry of Development and Infrastructure of more than 800,000 euros and will benefit the more than 6,000 vehicles that travel this road every day.
