The call to participate in the Libera Project is now open, organized by Ecoembes in collaboration with the Alcantarilla City Council and SEO Birdlife to collect and catalog the abandoned garbage in the natural areas of the municipality.
The collections will take place from December 14 to 20 in the Agua Sal place, the Rambla de Las Zorreras, the Cabezo Verde and the area of ??Las Tejeras.
The objective is to collect and catalog the abandoned garbage found in the space of one square meter per person.
The cataloging of abandoned objects is useful to quantify in which spaces there is more rubbish and of what type it is.
To participate it is necessary to send an email to alcantarillarecicla@ayto-alcantarilla.es indicating the name, surname, ID and telephone number of each participant.
The Libera Project contributes to ending the serious problem posed by the abandonment of garbage and waste in natural spaces, thanks to the collaboration of citizens.
Covid Precautions Last year 200 people participated in the five garbage collections that were carried out in Alcantarilla.
This year, due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, it has been necessary to adapt the activity to the new hygiene-sanitary safety regulations.
For this reason, the collection groups will be made up of a maximum of six people at each point, the participants will take extreme care of cleaning and disinfecting their hands and surfaces and maintaining a safe distance.
It is also mandatory to wear masks, avoid contact and not share clothes, materials or food.
