The Alcantarilla City Council has convened the children's contest 'Enchanted Christmas', whose winners will record their Christmas carol in a video clip and it will become the official tune for Christmas 2020 in Alcantarilla. All children and young people between 8 and 16 years old can participate, who register before December 9 through the form that they will find in this link: https://forms.gle/eb6uzEbnrhH7pzJ47. They should send a video or an audio recording singing a Christmas carol with original lyrics, based on the theme of Christmas in Alcantarilla, family, friends, games or a positive vision of the pandemic.
The music can be composed by themselves or they can adapt a traditional tune or a popular Christmas carol. On December 11, the finalists will be announced, who will perform their Christmas carols in a performance that will be broadcast through the City Council's social networks.
Among the finalists, the jury will choose the winners in two categories: from 8 to 11 years old and from 12 to 16 years old. The winners will receive a gift voucher of 200 euros and the finalists another check of 30 euros to consume in the shops of the Association of Merchants of Alcantarilla. With this contest "we want the protagonists of next Christmas to be young people and to promote family activities at home, creativity and ingenuity, with a positive attitude to the current pandemic situation," said the Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Luz Marina Lorenzo.
