In total, 27,253 residents have already contributed, of which 26,661 correspond to urban homes and 592 to rustic goods.
In the case of the latter, the percentage of payment of bills in the voluntary period has risen 10 percent over last year. The Councilor for Finance and Human Resources, Raquel de la Paz, highlighted "the commitment of the citizens of Alcantarilla, especially with the economic situation we are experiencing, that they faithfully and in a majority comply with fiscal obligations that, after all have a direct impact on improving the quality of life in our city ". A la carte tributes and bonuses The 'Taxes a la carte' program that the Alcantarilla City Council has in force since 2016 allows the taxpayer to make the payment of municipal taxes more flexible and choose if they prefer to pay the receipt in a single payment or divide it into two semi-annual payments, in four quarterly payments, in six bimonthly payments or twelve monthly payments, without any type of surcharge or interest.
During the financial year 2020, 462 more taxpayers have been added to the fractioning of the receipts than in 2019. Taxpayers who choose the annual or semi-annual payment of the IBI enjoy a discount of five percent of the fee and three percent if the payment is quarterly.
In this year 2020 the City Council has subsidized amounts totaling 254,000 euros. To be able to benefit from the deferred payment system, it is necessary to domicile the fees in a bank, that the fee to pay is equal to or greater than 30 euros, that the applicant is the owner of the receipts and that they have no debts with the City Council.
