Until November 29, you can participate in the survey that the Alcantarilla City Council is conducting among the population to develop the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP). To participate, you must fill out an online form that is posted on the City Council website.
You can also participate in person, at the Citizen Participation Office, for which it is necessary to request an appointment at the telephone number 968 89 85 23. The objective of this initiative is to generate a mobility system that is respectful with the environment, that improves the quality of life of citizens and that takes into account their needs. The Councilor for Economic Development, José Antonio López Olmedo, pointed out that "the new municipal mobility plan must respect environmental sustainability but without forgetting to cover the true needs of citizens with regard to their travel." The new plan will try to reduce the use of fossil fuels, polluting emissions and noise levels to improve the quality of life.
The trend is to increase non-polluting collective and individual transport, such as bicycles and skateboards.
