| On November 2, the jury will announce the winners and the awards ceremony will be on November 27 | The XXVIII edition of the 'Jara Carrilo' poetry and humor contest has received a total of 714 literary works, of which 490 are short stories and 223 are poetry books, which come from all over Spain, several countries in the rest of Europe and also from Latin America, mainly Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Colombia. The decision of the jury, made up of people related to the literary world, will be announced on November 2 and the awards ceremony will be held on November 27. There are two first prizes for each modality, poetry and short story, which are endowed with 1,600 euros each, and two acesit, which will receive 900 euros.
In addition, there will be three finalists per gender that will also be published in the next book, with the winners for this year 2020 and 2021. Participation in this contest, which had not been convened for nine years, has exceeded that of past editions.
