| The registration period for all activities is open until October 13 | The winner of the DJ contest will perform at the Festivities of May 2021 The October Joven cultural meeting has this year the sixth edition of the graffiti and photography contests, to which is added a contest of DJ sessions for the second consecutive year. The deadline to participate in the three categories is open until October 13 and registrations can be delivered through the electronic headquarters of the Alcantarilla City Council (https: //alcantarilla.sedeelectrónica.es) or in the General Registry (Plaza San Pedro ). The Councilor for Education, Culture and Youth, Marina Lorenzo, stressed that "the cultural event is dedicated to young people between 14 and 36 years old who want to make their way into the world of art or photography, in addition, we repeat this year the contest of DJ's for the great influx it had in the last edition ". The winner of the DJ contest will participate in the May 2021 Festivities and the winning works in the photography and graffiti contests will be exhibited in one of the municipal offices set up for it. The jury, made up of professionals from each of the categories and representatives of the City Council, will announce the winners the week of October 19 and they will be published on social networks and on the City Council website. Graffitti for the Municipal Infant School The winners in the graffitti category will also decorate one of the exteriors of the Municipal Infant School of Alcantarilla and will each receive a cash prize, which will be 1,200 euros for the first place, 700 euros for the second and 500 euros for the prize 'Local Artist', in addition to an accrediting diploma. All young people who handle this technique can register, either individually or in a group, and the works must be inspired by 'Children in popular and traditional games of the Region of Murcia'. Five Photography Awards The photography category is endowed with five prizes, a first prize of 200 euros, a second prize of 150 euros and the three best photographs by local authors, each endowed with 50 euros. Participants may submit a maximum of three digital photographs, which must be in JPG and have a minimum resolution of 3 megapixels.
The photographs will be sent to the address c.juventudalcantarilla@gmail.com, indicating the name of the file and the author's information. The submitted works must be original and may not have obtained a prize in any other contest.
All of them have to revolve around the motto 'Huerta Traditions and corners', with the most peculiar and historical corners of the municipality as protagonists. DJ session for the May Festivities The DJ contest is held for the second consecutive year and will have a single winner, who will receive broadcast of his session through the City Council's social networks and will perform at the May 2021 Festivities. Those interested in participating must send a downloadable file of an original, unpublished and previously unrecognized musical session to the email cultura@ayto-alcantarilla.es, together with the registration form, as of October 1. The jury for this category will be made up of professionals from the world of music who will evaluate the style, the selection of themes, the techniques and the mixes to choose the winner.
