The Local Police of Alcantarilla intervened yesterday in two cafeterias of the Polígono Industrial Oeste that were celebrating illegal parties during not allowed opening hours, at 01.30 and 03.30 in the morning, respectively. In one of the premises, located on Calle Uruguay, 40 people were concentrated and in the other, located on one of the private streets of Avenida de las Américas, 12 people. The agents raised a total of 28 complaints for breaches such as the established closing hours, the lack of use of masks among the attendant personnel and the prohibition of smoking inside the premises. In recent weeks, the Local Police of Alcantarilla has been intensifying its vigilance and prevention efforts against the spread of COVID-19, as well as verifying that hygienic-sanitary regulations are met, in order to protect the health of neighbors. After the lifting of the State of Alarm, the Local Police have raised a total of 283 reports-complaint for failing to comply with the regional regulations for the prevention and containment of the pandemic, such as the obligation to use masks (235 complaints), alcohol consumption in the public thoroughfare (18 complaints), non-compliance with the maximum night closing time in entertainment venues and restaurants (10 complaints), prohibition of smoking on public roads when the safety distance of two meters is not respected (9 complaints) and organization of meetings and parties in which there are agglomerations of more than six people (4 complaints), among others. In addition, it has set up a special device, the 'Lynx Patrols', made up of plainclothes agents who monitor that all regulations are met among the population.
